Worst thing for someone who is both impatient and slightly neurotic is knowing the tracking number for something I ordered online. I keep going to this website to check and every time I’m shocked that it isn’t closer.
And now today I see that my (two!) new pairs of shoes are waiting for me in San Pablo. They got there at 3 — in my mind that’s plenty of time to get to Palo Alto.
Why is it that the world doesn’t run on Amazon Prime?

schlomo:

I read a LOT of cookbooks and I can’t recommend Thomas Keller’s new Ad Hoc Cookbook enough.
It’s like French Laundry for the rest of us. (I love French Laundry, have been there 3 times, and did not mind losing $300/meal in the process.)
Weekend Reading (via Schlomo Rabinowitz)

I was skeptical when I got this since every recipe seemed so insanely involved. But once I started digging into it, it all started making sense. So far I’ve tackled:
1. Roast chicken with root vegetables.
2. Curried cauliflower and chick pea salad (this blew my mind)
3. Pickled carrots, which have become my go-to snack.

Great to see so many guy friends featured on the Entrepreneurs page in the new Tumblr Directory.
But um… where are the ladies?

Seriously, here are a few recs from my own follow list:
* Melody McCloskey
* Laura Miner
* Olivia Leigh (yes, a *non-internet* entrepreneur!)

Excellent point. So props go out to Weardrobe founder Suzanne Xie, who is featured, though not in this screenshot.
